Colts Lose ... Pitchers and Catchers Report In Just Over A Month

With the overtime loss by the Colts on Saturday night, my "rooting interest" in football is done for the season. There are still some good games to enjoy but with ND, Bears, and Colts in the books no vested interest. I'll be watching for sure; but now it is a pass time until baseball begins. Time to watch the hot stove, ponder the fantasy baseball draft, and enjoy the remaining football games and some college hoops. Here are some free flowing random thoughts on the topics at hand:

  • Could Tony Dungy really call it quits after a loss like that?

  • Will Ohio State be any match for Texas on Monday?

  • There is no clear favorite to win the Super Bowl.

  • Is the ND hoops team as good as they are ranked/ advertised?

  • Is the IU hoops teams as bad as advertised this season?

  • Will it actually be the White Sox landing Brian Roberts instead of the Cubs?

  • How in the world do you trade Mark DeRosa to make room for Milton Bradley?

  • the hockey game at Wrigley was cool

  • I haven't looked but I'll bet the over under on the National Title game is 80.

  • I sure hope that Charlie Weis has the O lineman working overtime this offseason.

  • Darren Sproules is unbelieveable!
  • it is time for Brett Favre to give it up.

  • this post is dragging out... I'll leave you with a video of the opening night of the MLB Network

Stayin' Alive ... White Sox take game 3

Behind a great performance by John Danks the White Sox live to fight another day. To be honest, I think that the matchups favor the Sox from here on out. We'll see this afternoon.

A few questions for the Sox as the series begins...

  • Will the Siox get past the "just happy to be here" syndrome?
  • Can they find a way to win a game in a dome?
  • will the veteran experience overcome some of the speed of the Rays?
  • Does anyone remember that Ozzie was a Ray?
  • Will the blackouts continue when the Sox come back to town?
  • Will they still be in this series when they come back?
  • Can Vasquez keep the game in check for the Sox to have a chance?
  • Does Alexi Ramirez have more "hero moments" in that bat?

WE SHALL SEE THIS AFTERNOON...

A few Cubs questions after the loss...

Should the Cubs have tried harder to win Sunday in the hopes of getting the Mets rather than the Dodgers?

Is the bullpen that bad that Dempster had to stay in long enough to give up the big one?

Did anyone see any cats or goats at the stadium last night?

Can Z keep his cool tonight, even if it gets tough?

Does Torre hold a mental edge on Pinella?

Will anyone in the ineup adjust to the pitching other then Derosa?

Will the loss be just what this tem needs to fire up for the playoffs?

"Do they still play the blues in Chicago..."?

TUNE IN TONIGHT FOR THE ANSWERS.
